OPENING THIS WEEK
LET THE PAINT SPEAK
Ghostprint Gallery presents an exhibition of new works on canvas from dynamic NYC painter, Peter Fowler. The artist will be in attendance and can be booked for a limited number of portraits
during the weekend. Showing through May 31

THE BACK DOOR TROT
VagaBox, a collaborative of nine rising stars, proudly presents The Back Door Trot. By magically transforming a 24-foot moving truck into a roving art gallery, VagaBox delivers art from the studio directly to the public. The creation of this transitional space questions
and challenges the boundaries within which art is typically experienced, while featuring a wide range of works from sculpture and installation, to sound and video. The exhibition runs for one night only.

NEW WORKS
ADA Gallery presents new work by Tom Condon, Katie Baines, artists from FEAST and new paintings by Jeffrey Majer.

EXINTRINSIC
Gallery5 presents an exhibition embracing the fine subtleties and details of the surface and texture of the human body. Featuring Ebony Paterson from Kingston Jamaica, Lisa Kellner from Richmond, Virginia and Brooke Hine from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ebony and Lisa artists create an exquisite visual dialogue about the body as a receptacle or vessel for passage while dissecting the discrepancies between what is perceived and what is visible. Lisa Kellner’s work ranges from delicate drawings and paintings exemplifying the topographical qualities in the landscape of the skin to Installations that explore the qualities of flesh and bodily structure juxtaposed with the aspects of personal sactuary. Ebony Patterson creates large scale mixed media prints that seek to reference specifically female objectification from an autobiographical perspective, while making cultural references to her own experiences with her own body. Brooke Hine’s evokes life energy through the natural forms of her work.
